Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. Her stage work began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway shows before going huge in the national theater arena with Li'lAbner's in the year 1957. In the year 1957, she launched her first album of music entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise's first venture into Hollywood was when she played Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, which was a 1958 drama. It received wide reviews. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. In the course of this film, she was began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection to Lee Strasberg as his student. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her work effectively between Broadway television and Hollywood portraying somber characters as in contrast to the image she was portrayed as being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in recent years she also has made a name for herself as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on 27th August, 1965 her family moved to Toronto around the age of three. She spent the majority of her youth there before moving to Toronto for her adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
