Tessa Thompson

The actor Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on October 3, 1983 in Los Angeles, California. She is a daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) as well as the grandchild of Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She grew up within Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. She's of Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian descent. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School where she performed in numerous theater productions. She enrolled in Santa Monica College after graduation with a cultural and anthropology degree. She was a part of Juliet in William Shakespeare's drama "Romeo and Juliet" during a performance performed by the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena, California.
